Climb any mountain, shred any descent. The Release turned heads and earned rave reviews from the cycling press when it debuted. We’re proud of that fact, but (at the risk of sounding conceited) we’re not entirely surprised. Our patent-pending Level Link system is the best-pedaling suspension design we’ve ever cooked up. What’s more, the bike’s progressive geometry helps makes the Release fast and flickable, yet supremely confident at high speeds. It’s a winning combination. We equipped the Release 2 with a host of reliable components, including Shimano SLX 12-speed and a 150mm Fox Rhythm 34 fork — a fork that plows through big hits without diving or flexing. Tackle tough climbs and fast, steep, technical descents aboard the Release 2. - Size Small = 5'4" – 5'7" - Size Medium = 5'7" – 5'10" - Size Large = 5'10" – 6'2" - Size X-Large = 6'2" – 6'6"
The Release 29 2 is the lankier sibling of the Release and Catch full-suspension mountain bikes. Designed for high-mileage days with a high shred factor, this aluminum trail ripper is built on the same 130mm-travel Level Link suspension platform as its smaller-wheeled siblings. We've adjusted the geometry for 29-inch wheels while keeping the same playful attitude that our Level Link bikes have become known for. The Fox Float DPS Performance shock is outfitted with an EVOL LV air sleeve for excellent responsiveness and a bottomless feel to soak up the worst on steep, technical terrain. A 140mm travel Fox Rhythm 34 fork, Shimano SLX drivetrain, and hydraulic stoppers let you stay focused, no matter what the trail dishes out.
When you spend hours in the saddle getting to a jaw-dropping descent, your bike should 100 percent rip. Those are the days for the Release 29 3. This aluminum trail bike is built on the same 130mm-travel Level Link suspension platform as its smaller-wheeled siblings, the Release and Catch. We've adjusted the geometry for 29-inch wheels while keeping the same playful attitude of all our Level Link bikes. A Shimano XT drivetrain paired with Shimano XT cranks provides crisp shifts and unflinching power transfer. The Fox Performance Float DPX2 rear shock offers improved performance on the most aggressive descents plus a greater compression adjustment range. For truly hairy descents, the 140mm travel Fox 34 Performance fork and Shimano XT brakes keep you laser-focused.
A privateer is a top-level rider who hits the trails without the benefit of a fancy sponsorship deal. Their ideal rig? A blue-collar machine that doesn't skimp on performance. That sums up the Release 3 perfectly. The heart of the bike is our artfully shaped and butted aluminum frame and brisk-pedaling Level Link suspension. A Fox 34 Performance Float 150mm travel fork and Fox Float DPX2 rear shock work in perfect tandem to obliterate tooth-rattling hits on even the longest of descents. Shimano's reliable XT 12-speed drivetrain components offer up seasons of accurate shifts and Shimano XT hydraulic disc brakes continue to impress with their excellent balance of power and finesse. Other brag-worthy components include our burly Blanchard tubeless-ready wheelset, Maxxis Minion DHF/DHR tires, and a KS LEV Si dropper post. The Release 3... pro-caliber quality for those of us with day jobs.
