In fact, if you take a close look, it resembles a file tread pattern like you might see on an all-weather road tire. It has more texture than other tapes we've used, and that's not by accident. The tape is intended to facilitate the movement of your hands form one position to the other, but there is no hint of unwanted slip, even with ungloved hands. Each roll of tape is 82 inches long, so you'll be able to wrap your bars without having to resort to overly pulling and stretching the tape.
